This new feature adds to BHIM’s existing postpaid mobile bill payment service, making it more convenient for millions of users.
The partnership is powered by BillAvenue, Infibeam’s utility payment platform, and also involves the integration of BHIM as a payment option within Infibeam’s CCAvenue payment gateway.
This means that BHIM will now be a prominent payment method for the many merchants using CCAvenue, simplifying payments for both BHIM users and merchants.
BillAvenue Chief Business Officer Vivek Patel called the partnership a “significant achievement” and noted that it will boost transaction volumes and provide better service to BHIM users.
Rahul Handa, Chief Business Officer, BHIM, expressed his excitement over the collaboration and said it will make payment management easier for users and strengthen BHIM’s role in everyday financial activities.
BillAvenue, which holds a key license from the Reserve Bank of India, will use its technology to help more banks and fintech companies join the Bharat Bill Payments System (BBPS) platform, offering flexible solutions to meet different needs.
