UP NEET UG Counselling 2024: The NEET UG counselling process for admission in medical and dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh will begin from August 20, 2024. The Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, has released the detailed schedule of UP NEET Counselling 2024. The last date of registration for the counselling has been fixed as August 24. For admission to MBBS and BDS courses running in government and private medical and dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh, one will need to visit upneet.gov.in and register for counselling. Students will be required to deposit a security of Rs 30,000 for a government seat, Rs 2 lakh for a private medical college and Rs 1 lakh for a private dental college.
UP NEET UG Counselling Schedule 2024
Online registration and uploading of documents: August 20-24.
Registration and payment of the guarantee amount: from August 20 to 24
List of merits will be announced: August 24
Filling of choice: from August 24th to August 29th
Seat Assignment Announcement: August 30
Award and admission letter: from August 31 to September 5
Students belonging to reserved categories like Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) will be required to submit a caste certificate in the prescribed format at the time of registration. Apart from this, such candidates will also be required to submit a caste certificate issued on or after April 1, signed by a competent authority.
ABOVE Well Through counselling, admission will be done in around 9,300 MBBS seats and 2,270 BDS seats in the state. These admissions will be done in around 64 colleges in the state. Overall, around 7 lakh students can apply for UP NEET counselling. Let us tell you that counselling on 85 per cent of the state quota seats is conducted by the counselling authority of the states as per their rules.
Rules of residence
For admission into UP government colleges of medicine and dentistry, a candidate must be a native of UP. A domicile certificate is not required for candidates who have completed both the 10th and 12th year of UP.
– For admission into Government Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry of UP, candidates who have passed either or both of the 10th and 12th examinations from outside the state or are natives of the state of UP, such candidates shall submit the prescribed format of the Government of UP.
– Residents of UP state and other states of India will also be eligible for admission to private medical and dental college campuses in UP.
