Recalling how Shraddha Kapoor reacted to her song, Madhubanti said: Zoom“I had a very short but sweet conversation with Shraddha ma’am. She told me, ‘You sing very well. I loved the song.’ I was blushing, my throat was dry. I managed to ask her to sing a couple of lines with me and she sang gracefully, and that was a very nice thing.”
Asked if she faced any challenges while recording the song, Madhubanti said, “There were challenging moments. In the first attempt, I understood that I was technically singing it the right way, but I was not conveying the emotions properly. I was not feeling the kind of emotions that I should have felt, but everything was technically correct. After that, I studied the vocals of the 90s and tried to practice them, and that helped me understand how to feel the lyrics.”
He went on to add: “The experience of working in tonight “To be honest, it was an educational experience for me. I learned how to present my voice in a particular way. The song has a certain 90s feel to it, which is one of my favorite styles, and I was able to do that. So I’m happy about it.”
Madhubanti further revealed how tonight He approached her and said, “Initially, I was asked to sing a scratch. Then the composers had a lot of faith in me. Amitabh da (Amitabh Bhattacharya) was also there. He guided me with the style that should be present in the song. The melody of the song is really strong. It has emotional expressions. It is not a cut-to-cut dance song. It has a 90s melody. After listening to the scratch, I understood that I needed to internalise it. I spent time with the song and then re-recorded it.”
