School holidays tomorrow: Schools will be closed in these cities tomorrow due to bad weather
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert for several districts in Rajasthan, forcing the closure of schools and colleges in the affected areas. The region is currently experiencing heavy rainfall, necessitating the adoption of these precautionary measures.
In Rajasthan, the government has announced a holiday for all schools up to class 12 due to the continuing heavy rains. The district magistrate has declared that schools from class 1 to 12 in Bharatpur and Karauli districts will remain closed on Monday, prioritising the safety of students.

In Rajasthan, monsoon rains are causing major disruption in several districts. On Sunday, August 11, the Meteorological Department issued a red alert for numerous areas, marking the first time this season that such a high-level warning has been issued for so many districts.
In addition to the red alert, an orange alert has been issued for several districts of Rajasthan including Jaipur city, Alwar, Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Dhaulpur, Dausa-Srinagar, Bikaner, Tonk and Hanumangarh. These areas are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall with possible heavy rainfall at isolated places.
The IMD has also warned of possible flooding in drainage areas. Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been declared for Kota, Boondi, Nagaur, Bhilwara, Bara and Chittorgarh where light to moderate rainfall is expected.
