RBI Assistant Recruitment 2024:The Reserve Bank of India (Reserve Bank of India) will issue the notification for RBI Assistant 2024 recruitment in due course. Once released, candidates can check the same on the bank’s career portal, opportunities.rbi.org.in.

Last year, the call for applications was published on 13 September and the application period closed on 4 October. The exam was held for 450 vacancies.
The RBI Assistant 2024 notification will mention the exam date and time, application window, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and other details.
Below are some important points for candidates as per last year’s notification
Eligibility criteria
Last year, citizens of India, or subjects of Nepal, Bhutan or Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962, were allowed to apply for the recruitment examination for the post of RBI Assistant.
Applications for the vacancies were also allowed from persons of Indian origin who had migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Viet Nam with the intention of settling permanently in India.

However, such candidates were required to have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Age limit
Candidates who are between 20 and 28 years of age on the last date can apply for vacant posts of RBI Assistant. The last date will be mentioned in the notification of the exam.
The relaxation of the upper age limit will apply to candidates in the reserved category.
Recruitment of RBI Assistants: Minimum Educational Qualification
Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate to apply for the post.
In case of SC, ST and PwD candidates, there is no minimum qualification requirement but a Bachelor’s degree with passing grade is required.
For ex-military personnel, the minimum requirement is a university or matriculation degree or its equivalent qualification and at least 15 years of service in defence.
In addition, candidates must be able to read, speak and understand the language of the state under the jurisdiction of the recruiting office.
