- 4 eggs
- 1/3 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- chopped green onion
Method
- In a bowl, beat the eggs, chopped green onions and any optional ingredients until the yolks and whites are completely mixed.
- In a clay pot (ttukbaegi), pour the broth and bring it to a boil. Once it boils, reduce the heat to medium-low and then carefully pour in the egg mixture. Stir gently with a spoon and then reduce the heat to a simmer.
- Cover the pot with a domed heatproof bowl and allow the eggs to steam for 8 to 10 minutes. Stir halfway through the cooking process to ensure even cooking. The eggs should be set, but still tender when done.
- Turn off the heat, remove the lid, and finish the dish with a drizzle of sesame oil, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and additional green onions if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
