Speaking to ANI, actor-singer Saheb Chatterjee expressed his feelings.
He said, “Bring the culprits before the whole world and give them maximum punishment, which will serve as an example for people in future to think twice before committing such an act. This is a very serious problem. It is not just an Indian or Kolkata problem, but an international problem. We are here to protest and demand justice. We need absolute justice, we do not want half-truths.”
Singer Soumyojit said, “We are eager to get justice and we want this system to change. I hope we all get justice. Artists today are here to protest and demand things in our own way.”
Radio host Mir Afsar Ali added: “People have forced us to come out on the streets. We are all artists here and associated with the creative field. We want to express our feelings after witnessing such a case. We want to say that we are also humans. We cannot function when there are so many unrests around us. Whether someone takes action or not, I think it is our duty to raise our voice.”
