In a rather unfortunate incident on the set of the supernatural drama Suhagan Chudail, the actress Jyoti Mukerji She had a mishap that left the entire crew in shock. During the shooting of a high-intensity scene, Jyoti suffered a nasty fall, resulting in an injury that required immediate medical attention. When Times Now/Telly Talk India came to know about this, we immediately contacted the actress, who tells us how she was rushed to Khar Hinduja Hospital for a surgery. This happened on August 5 at Katharsis Studio in Powai, where the shooting of Suhagan Chudail was going on.

Jyoti Mukerji, Bollywood actress Rani MukerjiThe sister-in-law was filming a sequence in which her character had to perform a stunt. However, things did not go as planned. She lost her balance and fell awkwardly, so she was rushed to a nearby hospital. The team acted quickly and made sure she received the care she needed.
Jyoti tells us, “I was in the hospital and had to undergo surgery. I am now at home. It was a very fatal fall. I was in a chroma key studio and had to fall backwards imagining stones falling on me. They were throwing thermoplastic stones on me. In that process, my feet got stuck in my lehenga and I lost my balance. I fell wrongly on my left leg and it twisted in a very nasty way. I broke a bone which could not be healed with just a cast. I had to undergo surgery and put a rod inside. A cast would have anyway compromised my mobility. I had the accident on the 5th and was in the hospital for two days. On the third day, I came home. I will now be in a cast for three months. It will take time to heal.”

Jyoti Mukerji returned to television after 16 years in 2021. She had appeared in Tera Mera Saath Rahe. Mukerji had taken a sabbatical from work after giving birth to her baby girl. Jyoti has worked in over 20 television dramas including Gharana, Kitty Party, Mulk, Santaan, Aandhi, Asha Ki Kiran and Prratima. Mukerji made her television debut with Anurag Basu’s show Manzilein Apni Apni.
