IIT Bombay scores top rankings in general, engineering and innovation categories at NIRF 2024
Bombay Institute of Technology Has achieved remarkable success in recent years NIRF 2024 Classificationthird place in the overall and engineering categories, tenth in management and fourth in research. Most impressively, it came in first place in the innovation category. These results were announced today by Mr. Dharmendra Pradhanthe Honourable Union Minister of Education.
NIRF rankings are based on several key criteria including teaching, learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusion, and perception.
IIT Bombay Director Professor Shireesh Kedare said, “Students, faculty and support staff are the pillars of our institute. Their dedication and hard work have helped us achieve this goal. I congratulate all the students, faculty and staff of IIT Bombay for this achievement. We aspire to improve further in all fields.”
Last year, the Institute ranked fourth in the overall category, third in engineering, tenth in management, fourth in research and seventh in the new “Innovation” category.
NIRF rankings were introduced by the Ministry of Education (formerly Ministry of Human Resource Development) in 2015 to assess and rank educational institutions across India.
