The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak organized the graduation ceremony of the fifth batch of Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPx) as well as Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management (ePGDSM) on Sunday, September 8.
The event was attended by a host of guests including Indian wrestler, actor and motivational speaker Sangram Singh, Mukul Choudhary, CEO of Jamshedpur Football Club and Head of Tata Steel’s Centres of Sports Excellence, and Rajkiran Kanagala, Chairman and Chief Commercial Officer, TCI Group, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Sangram Singh spoke about his journey in the sport and urged the participants to remain determined and focused on their goals.
Mukul Choudhary, meanwhile, highlighted the growing importance of professional management in both the sports and business sectors, and stressed the urgent need for qualified managers to cope with today’s complex environments.
Rajkiran Kanagala also shared key insights on leadership in today’s dynamic business landscape and encouraged the graduates to lead with vision and adaptability.
In particular, the PGPx programme has been designed for experienced professionals and offers training in educational leadership and management using case study-based pedagogy.
The program is well suited to developing professionals who can thrive in today’s complex and changing business landscape, the statement said.
Dheeraj Sharma, Director, IIM Rohtak, extended his best wishes to all the graduates and reiterated the institute’s commitment to shaping future leaders in business and sports through a focus on academic excellence and practical exposure.

Meanwhile, the graduating group included 64 ePGPx programme participants, representing organisations such as the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Indian Oil Corporation, Tata Motors, HSBC, Infosys, Capgemini, Boeing and Wipro.
Similarly, ePGDSM graduates included professionals from organisations such as Tata Steel, Indian Railways, Sports Authority of Goa and SG Cricket.
Notable participants from the ePGDSM group included Shreya Saxena, who represented India at the 16th USIC Railway World Championships and bagged an individual bronze medal, and Raghav Jamwal, who secured third place at the Astana 2023 Asian Grappling Championships, the release said.
