He is married to an Indian classical dancer, Dona Ganguly, and they have a daughter, Sana.

He is always there
Despite Ganguly’s busy schedule, he makes sure to be present on his daughter’s important days, including her graduation ceremony. He and Dona are proud parents She attended her daughter’s graduation ceremony at University College London, where her daughter completed her Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
It was a proud moment for Sourav as a father and he supported her in choosing a career path different from that of her parents.
She also posed with her daughter’s friends and spent time with them hanging out.
Fun is important
For Sourav, fun is important and it manifests itself in the form of sport. As a sportsman, he also encourages his daughter to enjoy sport. A day before Sana’s graduation ceremony, he took his daughter to watch a football match between Arsenal and Manchester United.
He is a protective father
Sourav Ganguly makes sure that his daughter Sana is protected from all adversities, including criticism and attacks on social media. When his daughter, who was 18 at the time, supported the CAA protest, her Instagram post went viral. Ganguly was quick to defend his daughter from any criticism and took to Twitter to say that his daughter’s viral posts were “not true” and that “she is too young to know anything about politics.”
A sensitive father
Sourav, a father of a daughter, has not been shy about speaking out on sensitive issues, including the RG Kar horror in Kolkata. He said that “as a father of a daughter”, he was deeply shaken by the incident and that “there can be no forgiveness for such a crime”.
Holistic learning
As a father, Sourav focuses on his daughter’s holistic learning. He wants her to learn as many skills as she can. He made sure she received the best education. Sana is an alumnus of Loreto House School in Kolkata, the oldest and the first Loreto institution in India. She graduated in Economics and currently works as a consultant at INNOVERV, according to her LinkedIn profile. She is also a professional dancer, like her mother. She has also trained for a CFA certification in financial analysis.
