IC 814 Web Series Controversy Actually, it is said about the series produced by Anubhav Sinha that it has stayed away from the truth. The names of the plane hijackers Ibrahim, Shahid, Akhtar, Sameer Sunny Ahmed, Zahoor Mistry and Shakir have been changed in the series. In the series, the hijackers are referred to as Boss, Doctor, Burger, Bhola and Shankar. Many people on social media expressed anger and disappointment over the names of Bhola and Shankar. People alleged that the filmmaker deliberately named the hijackers as Hindus, even though they were Muslims.
Demand for boycott on social media
Following the release of the series, there is a demand to boycott it on social media. On social media, users are asking not to watch it using hashtags like #BoycottNetflix, #BoycottBollywood and #IC814. Users say that the creators deliberately changed the name to protect terrorists belonging to a certain community.
