Branzino – grilled Chilean sea bass, tomatoes, Kalamata olives and capers
In Dinner LunchThe essence of traditional Italian cuisine is seamlessly intertwined with an elegant and relaxed ambiance. The tantalizing aroma of freshly baked pizza and the tantalising sizzle of eggplant parmigiana set the stage for a culinary experience that celebrates Italy’s rich heritage. Cena Pranzo, meaning ‘dinner-lunch’ in Italian, and located at the Grand Hyatt Gurgaon, invites guests on a flavour-filled journey into the heart of Italy, where every dish tells a story of ancient flavours and authentic craftsmanship.
The restaurant has mostly wooden interiors and a beautiful bar greets you upon entering. The place even has a PDA for all your intimate gatherings. Guided by the esteemed third-generation chef Italian Chef Chef Mauro Ferrari, renowned for his commitment to authentic Italian flavours and innovative culinary techniques, offers guests the opportunity to sample some authentic Italian dishes on a specially curated menu showcasing exquisite and unique Italian ingredients. Executive Chef Mario Carmella works closely with Chef Mauro Ferrari and heads up the kitchen at Cena Pranzo.
Cena Pranzo’s cocktails are competitively priced compared to alcoholic drinks, hinting at their desire to highlight their cocktail selection. To start the meal on a delicious note, complimentary bread platters are served, accompanied by Ravigote and Pappa al Pomodoro sauces, to which Chef Carmella laughs and adds, “Bread is something you can never go wrong with in an Italian kitchen. You’ll always find it fresh.”
In the soup section, seafood lovers are treated to a warm bowl of Zuppa Di Mare with tomatoes, scallops, shrimp and garlic. With the rainy season in full swing, this dish is a warm hug on a plate. Next up is homemade tagliatelle with duck ragout, pistachio and pecorino – a very hearty and healthy pasta dish. The tagliatelle are perfectly al dente and the duck ragout brings that umami touch.
To finish the meal on a meaty note, try the Agnello (roasted New Zealand lionfish, natural juice, artichokes and mashed potatoes). And for fish lovers, the Branzino (roasted Chilean sea bass, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, capers and more).
Don’t miss the desserts at Cena Pranzo. The quality of the mascarpone cheese in the tiramisu was exceptional. The best thing is that they have a dessert cart so you can choose what you want.
