Justin Baldoni and Blake LivelyThe last movie of Ends with us It’s currently making waves, whether it’s because of rumors of disputes between the cast or Blake Lively’s relationship. fashion statements, the movie is literally all anyone can talk about.
As the film takes over the city’s cinemas, it’s only fair to talk about the central topic: Blake’s floral looks in the promos. With some hits and misses under her belt, the actress certainly looked impeccable in style in the promos.
Here’s a look back at our favorite and not-so-favorite Blake Lively looks from the promo era:
Yay: Sugar Plum Fairy
Blake Lively dressed to the nines alongside co-star Isabela Ferrer and Colleen Hoover for interviews and announcements against a backdrop of a flower shop. Of course, their floral prints were on point, as the actress wore a three-piece ensemble by Bode, which included a tutu-style skirt, a bright floral bralette, and a matching white jacket. She completed the look with dazzling Christian Louboutin heels.
No: Floral blues
For one of her outings, the actress chose a Chanel top and printed jeans, all with floral prints. Instead of a perfect attempt at dressing with style, Blake’s outfit looked like a floral explosion, and not in a good way.
Yay: It’s Britney B****
Ends with us At the New York premiere, Blake Lively wore a striking gown that paid homage to pop icon Britney Spears. The rainbow-hued Versace dress was first worn by the pop princess at the Spring 2003 Versace show during Milan Fashion Week, and now appears to have been beautifully revived by Blake.
No: very codified in the 2000s
Blake Lively kicked off August in another Versace ensemble, this time a sheer slip dress with red flowers, strawberries, and ladybugs. She paired the look with yellow tights with an equally fun print. As eccentric as she wanted the outfit to be, the red shoes and explosion of prints definitely weren’t!
Yes!: Hollywood glamour
At the film’s London premiere, Blake brought a touch of drama to the red carpet. She strutted in a crystal mesh ball gown by Tamara Ralph Couture, with sparkling orchids and cherry blossoms scattered across the bodice. Her statement pieces included a scarlet feathered coat and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
Nay: Up!
Blake Lively’s Stella McCartney jeans with built-in faux leather leggings, a camel cardigan and a shiny faux leather tee turned heads, yes, but in a very “what is she wearing?” way.
