The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (Department of Consumer Affairs) has invited applications from eligible candidates for various vacancies under Groups A, B and C. The application portal for this recruitment drive will open tomorrow, September 9, and will close on September 30.

Deputy Director (Administration and Finance): 1 vacancy
Deputy Director (Marketing and Consumer Affairs): 1 vacancy

Personal Assistant: 27 vacancies
Section Assistant Officer: 43 vacancies
Assistant (Computer Aided Design): 1 vacancy
Publications of group C
Stenographer: 19 vacancies
Assistant: 128 vacancies
Junior Secretarial Assistant: 78 vacancies
Group B Positions (Laboratory Technician)
Technical Assistant (Laboratory): 27 vacancies
Senior Technician: 18 vacancies

The recruitment exam will be conducted at testing centers located at 49 locations across the country.
Crop marks
For the posts of Assistant Director (Hindi), Assistant Director (Finance), Assistant Director (Marketing and Consumer Affairs), Assistant Section Officer, Personal Assistant, Stenographer, Senior Secretarial Assistant and Junior Secretarial Assistant, candidates must secure at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate to be considered for the further selection process.
(For the posts of Technical Assistant (Laboratory), Assistant (Computer Aided Design), Senior Technician and Technician, candidates will be required to secure at least 50 per cent marks in the concerned discipline and also at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate to be considered for the further selection process.

The following scanned documents will be required upon submission of the application form:
Photograph (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm)
Signature (in black ink). Signatures in capital letters will not be accepted.
Left thumb print (on white paper with black or blue ink)
Handwritten declaration (on white paper with black ink). Details of the declaration can be found on the examination notification.

Annex III of the notice (contained in the notification)
