Badlapur sexual assault case: Riteish Deshmukh expresses outrage. He writes: “As a father, I am absolutely disgusted…”
Actor Deshmukh rite has expressed shock and anger over the alleged sexual assault of two minors in Badlapur, Maharashtra.
The Badlapur incident came just days after the horrific rape and murder of a junior doctor that took place at the RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata.
Riteish took to his X-handle on Tuesday and expressed his pain and frustration.
He also demanded the “most severe punishment” for those found guilty in the case.
In his post, the actor, who is also a father, wrote, “As a father, I am absolutely disgusted, hurt and filled with anger. Two 4-year-old girls were sexually assaulted by the male member of the school’s cleaning staff. Schools are supposed to be as safe a place for children as their own homes. The most severe punishment must be given to this fiend. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in his time gave the culprits what they deserved – Chaurang. We need these laws to work again. #BadlapurCrime.”
